Moving from UK to Germany for work

Hello,
I am moving from London to Germany for work in a week. At this point in time, the company is offering me four weeks work, but it would potentially be a longer contract than this, possibly until early 2013.
My question is how do I go about banking? I understand I will have to set up a German account when I get a permanent home, but as I will be living in temporary accommodation through Airbnb for these first four weeks, perhaps changing address every week or so, I wouldn't be able to provide a permanent address, which would delay setting up the bank account. I was hoping one of the international banks that has a presence in Europe and the UK would make transferring money via internet transactions easier. I asked my two banks - Natwest and Santander (not so international after all) - if they could offer me another kind of account for worldwide travel as my job will mean I go abroad for work, but of course, accounts like that are only for the BIG earners.
Any advice is much appreciated!

I can't see setting up a bank that hard, as soon as you have an address set one up, job done, change address as and when needed.
Good Luck in Germany, and you speak German btw?0 -
I probably should have also asked about how to avoid any international bank transfer charges? I will still have bills to pay in the UK and will need to transfer funds via internet banking. Are there any accounts that will allow me to do this for free?0

The banking section would be better suited for that question,0
