i went to tesco yesterday and bought 2 charles worthington items for 7.00. the sa would only take one voucher so i paid but then took them back to customer services saying i had bought the wrong ones and was refunded 10.48 the full price of the two items. just said thank you and walked out.

the same thing happened when i bought 2 pair of jeans in the 20% off sale. they didnt fit and i returned them to be given the full price back. i dont know if this is a regular thing. has this happened to anyone else.

Not sure where to post this but will try and give the shortened version.

I went to a Tescos today to purchase h&b and healthcare, I bought multi-vitamins and bath foam. I split it into 2 transactions. First transaction he took everything, 2nd transaction same SA only took a few and when I questioned him he said I was lucky to use what I did !!! At this store they were giving away free Easter goodie bags so my kiddies were delighted.

Then I went to Sainsburys to get my free cat food using a voucher, also picked up a magazine but found the store exceptionally busy and decided I much preferred tescos.

2nd store - another 2 h&b purchases/transactions, this time I bought forehead headache treatment and bath foam, using all the latest available h&b vouchers. SA stated she should check the expiry dates and shouldn't scan as many vouchers as she was doing but did so anyway.

Quick stop at MFI - they quoted me £7k for a kitchen ! I went to see them, the SA offered me a kitchen for £4,723 as the budget option. I mentioned a package on the website which if I bought 2 packages it cost £1,887 which was a considerable saving. However, checking they have charged me twice for worktops so the price should drop to £1503 which will include a free bosch dishwasher so will have to visit them again to sort it out. So I am relieved that I can now have the kitchen I want.

3rd shop - at Tescos - SA scanned all my toiletry vouchers and I bought razor blades and cooling gel treatments. This time some of the 50 pointers were not accepted but I think this is due to the amount of toiletry items being purchased. All my clothing vouchers were accepted and on a clothing spend of £60 I was in credit by £20 !!!

So today, in all my travels I have saved at Mr T's over £150 gained 3000 points on my clubcards and bought the kitchen I wanted which will now be under budget (£1,000 was in tesco deal vouchers).

atnd lastly, the look on Mr Welshy's face when I drew up in my car with 6 palm trees in the back PRICELESS !!!!

(they were only 60p each and my bargain of the day - (apart from the kitchen)

u guys r lucky, don't know what i've done wrong, SA stopped scan when the amount reached 50%, i asked him to scan one more big one, so he did, still most small hb ones are returned.. unlucky again :(

i seriously think stores r giving instruction not to scan too much, mr. t is reading this thread.

managed to grab some :j new quits + new HBs (under heavily guarded SAs  , never understand why they hold onto these papers), if anyone have blue clothes ones and would like a swap, pls pm me.

We are a large family so I can rotate my clubcards so none of them has a huge amount on it. Sometimes I think that some SAs are more coupon friendlier than others. Last week a checkout supervisor stated I was more than welcome to use 20 non identical vouchers in the store if I so wished. I think not only is it due to cashier discretion but also the trading environment around the stores, is there competition and if so, to take vouchers for non purchased items gives them the competitive edge.

Nice SA today with my normal shopping I bought 4 elvive at £2.98 bogof, till took off £6.98 bogof, then SA took 2 x £1.25 old quit, £1.25 new quit, £2.50 H&B off £10, £2.50 off £10 so beaut, £2 off £8, £1 H&B and 2 50 pointers. I could have probably got away with a couple more coupons and pointers but why push it I will be back tomorrow.

The below items are all classed as BOTH Beauty and Toiletry so both Quit Kits vouchers will work, I'll try to keep this first post updated so if you find something not on the list below that is 'BOTH' or only 'Beauty' or 'Toiletry', Please PM me and i'll update the post...

the Nivea face wipes on BOGOF only worked with the beauty vouchers today.

I try to limit my tescoing days as with 4 children, the builders, working and mystery shopping I don't get much shopping time so once or twice a month I visit 3 tescos in one day and use my points/money off vouchers that way.

I had points vouchers for sharwoods poppadums and mango chutney and was delighted to discover today they scanned without purchasing the products ! I was also able to use alot of my money off vouchers which were due to expire shortly. Being organised I had arranged them into date order.

As for clothing I did not see any of the red dresses that I want to buy and I was surprised to see that my £10 off blue voucher on a £50 spend had a different barcode to my other £10 blue voucher so both scanned at the checkout.

As for healthcare I had purchased the rosemary conley healthcare at £3.99 on bogof but I thought they were horrible !

how do you find out that vouchers scan without buying the products?
do you just chuck them a load of vouchers?
als do you know if the £1 off a £4 finest beauty or bnaturals that were out of date on the 27/3 still scan as they were putting lots of these out today at a local store?
