Managers *making up* the individual store policy is more likely to be from getting a rough profit & loss monthly statement (which in turn affects their bonus & ultimately their job) rather than boredom, i'm afraid.

no offence taken but if they were only half as wise (they should be wiser as they see wot us peeps get away with) as you all they would do v well. i don't go as far as some on this site as i don't want to draw attention to myself as it a v rural area(everyone nows everyone etc:rolleyes: ) & at the end of the day its my job but i still manage to save a fortune half those i work with havent got a blinkin' clue!!!!!!!!

You're probably right there!
I know of a couple in my store who won't even try but most are quite happy to scan and see. If it beeps at them then there is nothing they can do.

policies also change when you get a new manager,section manager,someone promoted etc as they want to get themselves noticed by them up higher. easy way of doing this is to change the way something is done.we've seen it loads of times (new broom and all that crap...)

know what you mean bigmama got a couple who check every single coupon against the reciept everytime others who just dont care wot you give them just keep scanning

Had some fantastic company tonight, so apologies for the late post.

Was in Tescos earlier tonight(lastnight)(strange I hear you say)...looking for New Quit.

Spoke to pharmacist, duty manager and a couple of CS people.

Finally spoke to little old dear, in charge of 14 crates to stock the beauty shelves from.

Asked her about Quit packs...."Oh i remember those she said...we had lots(I know you did, i thought), "but they went a while ago".

"There was trouble one day" she said...."one greedy Woman took 4, 4, what did she need 4 for"......."terrible" i said.

(I once picked a whole box up in this store).....

Anyway, no one in the store had any info on the New Quit.....and there was nothing else showing either.....couldnt be bothered to "shop"....only went to look for coupons, and "inspect" the SA's....and kill a bit of time

I've been away and missed lots of posts! How does the yogurt thing work as I have several coupopns think it's the 50p off Ski. Can it be used of other items?
