How many hours is the course considered to be? - I know you said it's part time but the unis idea of part time may not match the jobcentres -as I was told (also NHS course but full time) that you were expected to do at least the same number of hours private study as you were in uni - so I would expect the learning agreement to be 24hours (if you are in uni 12hours a week) which would knock you out of JSA regardless of bursary

I do want to do the course. The Bursary does not cover my rent and as I am a single parent I need to know I will be able to pay all my bills. I am trying to find a job, but in the short term if I am unable to do this before I start Uni I would need to know that I would still get JSA. Believe me claiming is the last thing I want to be doing but if I have no employment in place it would be my only income really and the need to know before I start my course if it will be affected i don't think is too much to ask.

It doesn't need to cover your rent as you can claim LHA/HB/CTB. How much is the bursary?
