Un-weddingy registry office dress needed

Me & OH have decided to get wed. It was going to be Vegas but have decided to just do it here on 29/10. We're only going to have our kids there if they want to come (4 of his & 2 of mine) as we can only get 8 people in the registry office. We're going for the basic options as its not a 'wedding' but an official recognition of our partnership, as it were. Then a nice lunch and 2 nights at Hotel du Vin in Brum before normal service resumes. Lol
I'm going to get my hair done and do my own make up & nails but want to get a nice new dress that I can re-use for parties etc and won't look odd in the day when we go to the pub afterwards. I'm currently a size 20 in dresses thanks to the boobage and trying to get down to an 18 for the day.
I want a deep dark red colour, above the knee. Possibly ties at the back but not belted, or an A-style tunic. Cleavage is also good as I do have a rather nice rack(if I do say so myself)
Just don't know where to start looking but ideally I don't want to spend more than a ton, possibly stretch to £150.
Any help gratefully received. XX

What about a BHS merlot wrap dress? Then you can have several different styles in one.

That's pretty Lisa-Jane!
Maybe something like this? http://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/pleat-dress/qg270/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=6882#colour:RED,size:180 -
Try Coast and the usual department stores.
Perhaps you could get a personal shopper in one of the department stores - I'm sure they'll be able to assist if you explain what you're looking for and most are free.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

Thanks- that's ones quite interesting and can certainly make it versaltile. I might have to go try it though rather than just get it online. some of the styles look a little tricky.Noli nothis permittere te terere

I have recently discovered phase eight dresses, have a look in debs or house of fraser! Some are very nice, a def suitable for other occasions too.
I got this dress in blue last week from HOF, http://www.phase-eight.co.uk/fcp/product/phase-eight/Dresses/Odette-Tapework-Dress/201807837. It's stretchy so you might find it ok around the boobs and no zips to worry about and looks great if you are curvy (I am!) I will admit I have bought a slimming slip thing to wear under, and will get a bolero or similar to cover my arms.0
