I am hoping one of you super people can help me. DP has been asked to carry out a task for evening class and i have to say i am stumped, they need to work out an average food budget for a low income family of 4. i have helped by going through all of the food groups and comparing prices on supermarkets to come up with the lowest value, but this has been returned as he has not include shopping groups and clubs to be honest i dont even know what these are or the benefits. can anyone please help point me in the right direction. thank you

i am a low income family and for us the shopping budget is 50 per week and 60 if i have to get toiletries. i manage to keep it so low because i use coupons and bulk buy and also have a friend who comes shopping and we use the bogof and give one to each other saves loads.i also get my meat from butchers even on my budget,i also look for reduced meat coop is amazing wher i live by 12pm in afternoon they have reduced the meat by 75% so we eat better than most on a small budget its all about real cooking and barging hunting .hope this helps by the way im a member of any club /supermarket shop that gives you a crd for points and save them for xmas last year i had so many vouchers we had free xmas meals0
