mortgage broker advice

My husband and I are now in a position to start looking to buy a property and I wondered if anyone can recommend a mortgage broker in the north east (teesside area).
I have looked on the internet but not sure of the best way to chose who to use, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Family and friends is usually the best way to go for a recommendation.
Do you need face to face advice or would you be happy with thelephone based? Could open up more brokers if you choose this way.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks for the speedy response. I have asked family and friends but most seem to use their own bank.
I dont have any preference and to be honest it would be easier for me over the phone as I can work long hours so keeping appointments can be difficult.0 -
You will find recommendations on this site. https://www.unbiased.co.uk is worth a look but untick the box for subscribers only to open more options.
