Had two good shops today. £70 clothes and £16 h&b for 25p!!
Second shop nearly went pear-shaped though, as I was watching SA scanning clothes but total on till only came to £52 - should have been £72. Quickly told her I'd forgotten something and she says to go and get it. Had to run to clothing dept. and grab a £20 dress. Got to car and realised I hadn't counted it wrong it was the SA that hadn't scanned a £20 dress that had mucked it up. So £92 clothes and £16 h&b for £2.25!!

I can't understand what went wrong today, spent £35.00 womens £25.00 kids, dead on.
My £5.00 kids was handed back, £6.00 GA & £6.00 yellow. Although 2 QP's went through together only 1 yellow & 1 green worked.. Had £57.00 off £60.00, £4.00 blue fine again (Sept date ) but wish I'd thrown in a couple of adult blues now. Used a £6.00 spill which suppose made up some of the loss.
Planning to put the reds at the bottom of the pile tomorrow as would prefer those to be refused due to date & short supply.

I will confess to picking an item up purely to make it upto a set amount, with a view to returning it at a later date. I've done this a few times now with no problems, even when I've used several vouchers.
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

I've never experienced a problem with them, used 3 last week on a £60.00 kids shop no probs. The £10 blue one wouldn't scan though even at top of pile, asked her to try again but she said I hadn't spent the required.
Took that lot of stuff back today, feel quite relieved now that's done.

Well done again Leadhead you da coupon man!

Not any longer mate....nice to see you around.

Today was almost a total failure.

Decided to give the locals a break(lol)....wish I hadnt.

First store...Didnt intend an attempt here, banned from this one, and a manager who banned me from another, is now manager here, so didnt want to get stopped. Did manage to take back some stuff, and relieve them of 45 of the New triples.

Second store, got to till, specifically asked guy if he would accept all my coupons, before i put my stuff on the belt....yes he said, anyway decided he had a limit, so started sorting clothes out into £30 spends and coupons to match......so called supervisor, who searched through all my coupons, I told them i would just leave it all, they were quite happy about it... Apologised and left, but not before taking more stuff back and grabbing a few more coupons.

Third store almost exactly the same, grabbed some Yellows though this time

Fourth store, asked guy again, yes he said,...."the till will decide" he said....it did as well, bought £80 worth of clothes(to allow for an error,) 16 HandB and 16 HC(both before bogof).......lo and behold....total only came to £61....allowing for the hb/hc....my clothes had only scanned at £45, meaning £45 of my coupons wouldnt scan.....clothing department was too far away, so apologised, said i didnt have enough cash and left them, everyone was quite happy. Did manage to exchange some gear and picked up more coupons

With the new stock of clothes arriving, I found loads of things reduced, a lot without tickets.......watch out for this......

So without the refunds, exchanges and coupons, it would have been an absolute disaster.............feel i need a bit of tlc............or a spur to go and try again, see if the late shift have any similar instructions....think i'll try an 8'oclock one.......
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
"I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours, "I said that............................ Bob Dylan 1963
  • Well said Ginjim!...My store is ok..ish Borderlak, lol Must dash off to mr T's if I don't get back too late i will report back to base lol....otherwise tomorrow

    Ps Thanks LH!

Can you use these vouchers in combinations if you do the self-scan checkout? I seem to have a bad track record when it comes to having vouchers and coupons rejected and I just hate the embarassment.

Do I just need to toughen up a bit?

only hic cup iv had with clothes at ss is over a certain value have security tags on & till beeps for assistance if sa sees you've got pile of stuff is likely to lurk close by to keep popping back for tags makes me nervous as they are keeping an eye on you worse if u got a mitt full of coupons...:o :o
