It's a bargain plus you get clubcard points. We use it to watch freeview, dvds and play and xbox 360 in HD and we've no complaints. It's brilliant!

This firm* seem to have some good HDTVs and very good advise on the small print and technical details. However I'd really like to know the opinions of those who've splashed out on a new TV recently. Any recommendations?

    My main criteria are:
    1) Must look good for both HDTV and normal terrestrial TV.
    2) Must have good selection of inputs and outputs.
    3) Gotta be 32 inch and wall mountable.

I think that one is scart only but according to the crown site has an option for HD ready (not compatible which is a different thing all together).

If you`re not going to subscribe to a HD program package at £10 a month and also a Skybox at £299 then this will do.
HD ready is just market hype
    something you may never need.

The Mirai and Hannspree branded TV's seem to be reasonably well regarded at present. Both of which are under £400.

The best advice anyone can give you is to goto https://www.avforums.co.uk and into the 'LCD TV' sub forum. Click on the 'search this forum' and into this put the model of the tv you are interested in. You shall then see what if any problems there are with the model you are interested in.

It might be worth mentioning, that the forum is frequented by people who expect you to do your own research. They tend not to be too forthcoming towards 'which lcd should I buy' threads. Not because they are ignorant, but rather because they've seen it week in week out and its an ever changing technology.

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
