ciao.co.uk and yougov have both paid out to me. Not huge amounts - max a tenner a month,

ones where you pay to register - not worth the effort.

I've started a (rather sad but hopefully humorous) blog on this very issue. And I have posted some hints and tips here on money saving expert.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=4688787:

I'm pretty sure the answer is that cash is available, but it will take some time and perseverance. The best thing to do is to sign up to those that definitely do pay cash (from what I've been told from others). A couple of good reliable reference sites are:

    http://www.surveycritic.com
    http://www.surveystar.blogsource.com/

Sign up for 10 or so of the recommended ones first - you'll get surveys coming through quite regularly. YouGov has to be a payer (it's the government for goodness sake - they must be reliable), but with all these things, you're not going to make a fortune. You have to give your address and interest profile, but you'll never have to give bank details. Make sure you're comfortable with the privacy policy. I've signed up for about 70, and I don't get any spam, but I was fairly choosy about who I signed up with.

And NEVER EVER pay for a survey list. You'll get taken to the cleaners. Have fun and good luck.

    Shake your money maker.

  • It is true that some links are referral links that allow us to be compensated whenever someone signs up through our site, but PLEASE do not just start signing up multiple times thinking you are doing us a favor. Creating multiple accounts is fraud any way you cut it, and the best case scenario is that we don't get credit for the referrals and you waste a lot of time.

    SurveyCritic,

Indeed - point no. 4 of aforementioned tips link

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=4688787:

'don't create multiple profiles like a prat', would be particularly pertinent here. It's a shame how one person can ruin things - my apologies for the hassle. I shall be more careful in future. Keep up the good work.

  • Don't blame yourself because it isn't your fault. It's important for people to know that they may be using referral links, but it's also important that they know not to abuse that. I'm sure whoever was involved only had good intentions, but fraud is still fraud. Also, don't sign up for someplace if you aren't interested, because it's more important that you find what you are looking for than go out of your way to help your friendly neighbo(u)rhood survey site webmaster. Instead, just drop a note and say 'hi'; I don't get nearly enough emails. :)

Keep up the good work yourself. ;)

I have been part of YOUGOV for about 3 and a half years. I have already had one cheque for £50 and have about £26 in credit at the moment.

When you get £50, a cheque is sent out.

The surveys are pretty mainstream, news topics and politics as well as some brand awareness questions.

I find them interesting and will hopefully get my next £50 within the next 12 months.

There is a MSE referrers board and the link is here.
