The company i work for work alongside a company called westfield health, If we opt into the benefit all we have to pay is the tax at the end of each financial year which equates to approx £10per year.
Within this benefit you can reclaim upto £55 towards eye care
The company I work for also provide vouchers for eye tests.
I approached my employer today to obtain a voucher for an eye test to be told that as i am in the health plan i can not have a free voucher and must reclaim the cost of the eye test through westfield
I can only have a voucher if i opted out of the healthcare plan.
Are they correct or are the obliged to provide the voucher and let me use the £55 towards glasses if needed.
I work on a computer for my whole shift which are full time hours.
Any comments are greatly appreciated

As a VDU worker you are entitled to an eye test, and if necessary, spectacles paid for by the employer regardless of any health plans in place.
