I was first time buyer with my brother 2 years ago, took 5 year fixed mortgage over 35yrs with us both as applicants. property was bought for £97k took mortgage for £120K to pay off our loans we had at the time. 95% of £120k was secured on home rest was unsecured loan. i earned total of £22k paat the time + he earned £17k pa. now brother wants out as cant afford his half + change in his personal circumstances. i want to take mortgage over by myself. i now earn just over £25k pa. need advice on what i can do?? dont know if i earn enough to be allowed to take on mortgage by myself. just need some advice on how i can let him move out and be taken off mortgage and keep my home. would really appreciate any ideas

Best to speak to your lender first - see if you can take over his half of the mortgage.0
