can anyone please confirm the cut off/ start date for addressing mis sold policies.
I applied in Jan 1989, the policy started March 1989 ??
Also who do I address if I am in date, the original paperwork was done by the estate office selling my house [ no longer trading] the policy is with AXA ??
I was on an ordinary mortgage with my previous home that was for sale and was advised to change to endowment as it would pay off the new mortgage and earn extra as a bonus when settled at full term ??
do I have a claim to quickly persue ???

29th April 1988 for advisers still in business.
August 1988 for advisers that are out of business and fell under the jurisdiction of the FSA.
1994 for FIMBRA members who didnt go on to seek FSA authorisation. (cant claim if before that date)
Solicitors have different rules pre 2001 and depending on Scotland or England
Tied advisers generally have no qualifying date and will review all cases regardless of date.
Ask AXA who the selling agent was and who the servicing adviser is now. That should give you a name and adress. It may be AXA themselves as they do operate salesforces.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

I will go direct to Axa and see how I get on.
The selling agent to us at the time was actually a personnal friend who was working as manager for an Estate Agents office which was part of a well known Building Society. The Estate Agent side of this company only lasted a couple of years and shut up shop. I have approached my friend about this but he cant remember the association between him, the Estate Agents at that time and Axa, I am assuming he or the Estate Agents would have been acting as Axa agents but will see what the score is with Axa themselves.
