When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!
:money:

Morning guys :wave: early start for me (woke up at 4.45 :eek:) so thought I'd start us off. Haven't posted for a couple of days as have been dealing with the quitting smoking demons but am now starting to feel human again :T

Things for today:
* check banking
* received email from Lensway to say they have received my glasses and are processing my refund. If I am lucky I will get the refund before cc payment :T
* not smoke :beer:
* NSD?
* all meals from stores
* grate and freeze some cheese to stop it being eaten by dd
* read martin's newsletter and signed up for the week's free gym trial
* fold up clean washing & hang up washing in machine
* go for a walk/run later

ok that's me I think. Have a great day :A

    Gmorning, DNMS! Huge stopping smoking kuddos to you.

    So quiet in here these days! Where is everyone?

    Good news here is that we've found roommates for the forseeable future, which takes some financial pressures off. Bad news is that we still havent been refunded for the robbery, need to deal with that...

    Today:
    - bike everywhere I need to go
    - pick up new dresser from carpenter (yes, I move furniture by motorcycle. Dont judge me! :) )
    - go to different carpenter to order frames
    - happy hour at our local
    - roomie cooking curry for dinner
    - charge music player at work so I can go to the gym later in the week
    - repay excess per diems at work
    - pay dog walker
    - follow up on new contract for work
    - work hard as feeling a bit snowed under

    Happy hump day, everyone!
