These guys keep calling me - before now it was from confusion, not realising they had already spoken to me This time they were asking me why I didn't go ahead.
I said the 3 main reasons were:
Brochure 3 years out of date
Website registered in Tilbury
FSA warnings against the investment
The man told me the brochure was freshly printed, to which I snorted and said I work in the pension industry and it blantantly was not
After I explained which bits were no longer relevant (ASPs, access at age 50, protected-rights) he said he would submit that to their compliance department
I thought that would be more than enough for him to realise he wasn't getting anything, but no. He continued at length, explaining why the FSA warnings didn't apply in this case, etc, etc.
