Can anyone suggest any good ways of getting rid of the black mould/mildew that builds up between the tiles in the bathroom? Any suggestions welcome, as it is really driving me crazy!!

add some bicarb to it and it's even better - it's thicker and stays in place longer rather than running off

I use Dettol mould & Mildew Spray. It really works well, although I would think that it is mainly bleach.

    Hello,

Can anybody suggest the best way of doing this? Have used the usual bathroom cleaners and good old elbow grease but it never seems to shift it entirely.

I've been looking at the Stardrops board. Does this work, perhaps?

    Thanks

The only things I have found that get rid of mildew are bleach and mould/mildew remover (which smells like bleach so probably is)
Once it has gone, the best thing to keep it away is to keep the bathroom dry. In other words dry down the walls, windows, mirrors etc after a shower or bath. I have my shower last in the morning, then once I am dry, but before getting dressed (don't even try to picture this!!!) use one of the towels to dry down the walls etc. Then chuck the towel in the wash! Keeping it nice & dry in the first place works far better than having a major scrub clean with cleaning stuff every so often, and it's not much work to do, only takes a couple of minutes or so to wipe down the entire bathroom at the time.

Since I posted this, I've had a good search of this board and can see that so many people have the same problem! Am glad I'm not alone!

Will be trying the Dettol Mildew remover for a short-term fix.

Dettol Mould and Mildew remover is the best. It's very strong bleach, so use it with the window open as it gives off fumes!

Spray it on, leave for a few minutes and the mildew should just wipe off, although you might need a scrubbing brush for stubbon areas.

I always leave the bathroom window open at least a crack. That stops the mould/mildew building up. Gets a bit chilly mid-winter though!
Here I go again on my own....

Yes, I second this. I've even used it on emulsion and wallpaper that had black spots.
