Printing of invites and stationary

Options
Hello,

I'm not getting married until May 2013 but trying to get my invites and stationary in order my first thought was going to vista-print and taking advantage of the offers but the people i work with said its rubbish and turned there nose up at it.

I didn't think there were any other alternatives and thought i would ask you guys for advice on printing places.

At the moment i want to get my envelope seals and folded business cards for the place cards

thanks for any help

You can some nice simple invites on ebay cheaply depending in what you want.

    for example - 50 invitations for £15

or gatefold invitations (I got a sample of these ones but we didn't use them in the end, although they are very ncie, nice quality etc, just not what we were looking)

Firstly lots of brides on here have used Vistaprint and have been very happy with them (I'm sure they can show piccies of their designs to put your mind at ease). But secondly I used a company called PDA Card and Craft (http://www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk) for my stationery, and a fellow July bride used them to print her invites.

    These are my vistaprint invitations:

I am very happy with them especially since I only paid £15.78 for 70 of them.

I used vistaprint for most of my stationary and have saved over £600 compared with the stationary I was originally going to order from debenhams.

There is on the back of the folded invites vistaprints website.

I can take a better photo of them along with the other items I ordered if you would like.

I got my pocketfold and gatefold blank cards from https://www.cardsandpockets.com - they're american, but very very good and reasonably priced!

A family friend did all the printing of the invites for me, and we stuck on some hearts and ribbon ourselves to pretty them up a bit. We got envelopes and RSVP-envelopes off ebay much more cheaply than from any card supplier.

TopTip: don't put names within the invite wording, this way you can print out all the invites identically more cheaply. Instead, write or print names on a separate card/label and stick/tie to the front. This means that you can very quickly or easily edit/change names right up to the last minute if anything changes!

_ I use to be in charge of ordering all stationary for a company make sure you get a proof prior to printing. You can get as may proofs as you like from whatever company you use. ONLY wants you are complely statified agree the proof this is usually done by signing or email. once the printing process starts it is very difficult to stop it and if it's wrong (unless they haven't done what you've agreed to)normally you have to pay if they have done what you've approved regardless of the fact you may of changed your mind!

  • I recommend Quantock Printing they offer free samples, free PDF proofs and 25% discount with offer code WEB25
  • I used this site to create free invitations;

    http://www.weddingchicks.com/freebies/invitation-suites/bunting-invitation-suite/

You can just add in the bits you want, save it as a file on your computer and upload this as a picture to Vistaprint. Then i looked for Vistaprint codes, I found a 40% code but it wasn't working properly, when I emailed Vistaprint they told me they'd updated my account and when I logged back in they'd actually made everything free! This meant that I could upgrade to better paper quality and order some additional bits. So we got around 100 daytime invites and 100 evening invites (way more than we actually need) along with envelopes and postcard RSVPs for around £42.

I'm now going to tie the invitation cards along with the postcards up with ribbon and I'm over the moon with them, I saved about £80. Hope this helps. :)
  • I've got my invitations just need the insides printing will vistaprint do that? I've used them loads of times but not sure if they will be any good at just doing the inserts
