Your organisation (assuming it's public sector?) will have a policy on protection of information. This will set out how to transfer sensitive information between colleagues. It might be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the policy so you know what you can and can't do and can tell your boss accordingly.0

Can you not stick it on a memory stick and get it sent over?"Most of the people ... were unhappy... Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy." -- Douglas Adams0

Hi, someone came across this week and copied onto an encrypted memory stick, so I at least don't have to worry about that.
Thank you for the replies..0 -
It is business information and providing the other person has a requirement to see it (being a boss above you would appear to give a good reason) then there is no breach as it is business information staying within the business,

As long as its from someone within your company then you're ok.0 -
Surely the 'big boss' has access to this client database you mention, so why are they asking for this information from you?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Nope, although we work for the local authority, we are in a non local authority building and our emails, documents, databases etc on are a non local authority server in this building. It sure is complicated.
Anyway, it'll all be deleted and wiped once we're redundnant.....0
