Worked in March, taxed in April?

in Cutting tax
To cut a long story short. I am paid weekly but it takes two weeks for the previous weeks to go through, i.e. if I work this friday then I will be paid for that friday in 2 weeks. So now that I have worked full time hours this week (I don't get taxed because I have only earned £4000 at the present time) and it will take 2 weeks to go though, that means that it will go on my wage slip in April (new tax year) is that right? I have worked in March so would I be taxed for earning I eanred in March because they aren't paid in until April? My pay has only just reached 18th March so there is still a way to go (as far as money owed from this year budget is concerned) I have two weeks owed before this week has even gone in. On my payslip it said week 52 which therefore means that next week it will be week one.
