question about payslips

hi, We are looking to buy asap as we have been renting for far too long.
my partner up till now has been a student but in febuary now has a good full time job. I myself have been at the same place for 5 years! :-)
We want to go with ingdirect but need to know about payslips.
My partner is about to get his second payslip ( monthly pay). The first only has 2 weeks on. Can we apply at the end of April or will we have to wait another month because of the half payslip? Or even longer.
Please help.

It may be worth asking them if they will approach his employer for a reference to confirm his income (which they may need to confirm if he is a probationary period or not) - I would guess the real issue would be whether he has worked for his employer for long enough to satisfy their criteria.
Most lenders want you to have been employed for a minimum of 3 months but some do not have a minimum period - ING direct may be one of them.
Even if they are not, they may be willing to start underwriting your application on the proviso that they will not produce a mortgage offer until he has been employed for their minimum period and/or they have had confirmation that he has no probationary period.
Best to ring them and ask the question.I am an IFA (and boss o' t'swings idst)You should note that this site doesn't check my status as an IFA, so you need to take my word for it.
