Should we both go bankrupt ?

  • how about not renting the garage and giving up the tv internet and mobile. These are all unnecessary extras and you would save 107 a month. Do you really need a car - if you got rid of it and used public transport (if available) you could save another £144 a month (plus whatever you get for selling the car itself. ??

The tv internet and mobile are all one package, as I already said the car is essential as my daughter lives 50 miles from me as I had to move towns beacuse of her dads unreasonable behaviour. There is five of us and as I already said its cheaper to run a car than use public transport, plus in an emergency situation I need a car but we have considered that option sciencegeek.

I need a mobile and home phone to remain in contact with my daughter and the package we have its only 8.99 a month for the internet and again its getting difficult in this day and age to not have internet access and I have a teenage daughter who requires it for school work. Its more expensive to use in the internet cafes.

I do not smoke, go out drinking or spend money on haircuts as I cut all our hair and a friend cuts mine, I make most of our food fresh so this saves money and we are going to start growing our own veg this year too.

We are hoping to get rid of the garage in a few months its just we was in a second fllor flat so it contains all our belongings including camping equipment and a trailer (which is worth about £20 before you suggest selling it) which we use for weekend trips in the summer as we cannot afford holidays.

I appreciate your advice but I do not want my children to have to suffer anymore than they have so if we can manage to keep a reasonble steady life for them we will.
