I've been ill for weeks recently with firstly a glandular infection which needed two courses of antibiotics to clear then I just didn't seem to get "well" for weeks. Finally I bought some probiotics that are especially for people who have had or are on antibiotics, I started feeling better within a day and now, a week later, I'm fully well, finally!! Maybe you could try probiotics?:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0

I had something like this last July and was wiped out for two weeks. I kept thinking I would feel better tomorrow, but eventually I did. My sympathies for you while it lasts - you will feel better, just listen to your body and rest while you fight it

DH said yesterday that I was beginning to look a bit better. And today I've been out for the afternoon! Started with my hair cut, would have been tempted to postpone it but getting horribly shaggy and I can now go whole hours without hacking! Then shopping! Supermarket only, but even that's an achievement!
I still seem to wake up with the Headache from Hell, but I'm hoping I might get back to work on Monday. If I can't, so be it, it's just knowing what kind of mess will be waiting for me if I don't ...
Anyway, thanks for your sympathy, everyone, and I exend the same to those who are still suffering ...
BTW yes I do use probiotics ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

How are you feeling now Sue? Did you get back to work OK or did you need a bit more time. (((hugs)))0

I have made it back to work: I phoned my manager on Sunday evening (knew she wouldn't mind) to discuss what to do. I knew we had a staff lunch to say goodbye to a student, wasn't sure what time. We also had an evening fundraiser, which I wasn't sure I would cope with. What I KNEW I wouldn't cope with was a full day at work, followed by an evening (plus we have Issues at home with DS3's GCSE coursework, another story!) working.
So my manager said come and meet us for lunch, then see what you feel up to: either come in for a bit, or don't. So I had a nice lunch, then did a couple of hours at work, which wasn't TOO horrendous, then came home and left DH to go to the fundraiser.
Didn't sleep well last night, cough came back, but today I do NOT have the headache, so I think that's my sinuses clearing, and I've done a full day at work, and helped with the lunchtime crossword club ... :rotfl:
Anyway, tomorrow's the last day I work before Easter, just got to survive 3 days with the in-laws and lunch with my family ...
Thanks for continuing sympathy, I am sure it helps ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
