Monday 20th August - What Small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:
Morning all,
Yesterday was a nsd for me, although a bit of a wash out after my OH's stag do on Saturday. To cut a long story short, he wandered off on his own and passed out drunk. Nobody knew where he was until half nine yesterday morning, by which time I'd been up all night worrying about him. I could barely think yesterday - never mind doing anything.
But I've had a good night's sleep and am starting to feel like a human again after 2 weeks of illness etc so that's good. Just need to make sure I don't overdo it today because I feel a bit better.
Here's my list
Check online banking
Flylady
Diet hard
Load of washing (do NOT use tumble drier)
Visit a friend for a catch up and lunch (cheap lunch)
Diet hard (11 days!!!!)
Pay PO refund cheque into bank (for lost shoes)
Write complaint about electrical company
Nag OH for £30 still owed from his stag do
Can't think of much else now - enjoy!

I need to:
* Post 2 ebay items

Morning all,
Wannabee, I'm glad your OH is ok, you need to give the best man down the banks for that one!!
bt1 and Orange Fairy - congrats on the jobs
bt - good luck getting that £5 from vanquis. We were trying to get £17 back from Aqua for about 6 months with no joy. OH gave up in the end. :cool:
So today's mission:
Been to the gym (2 weeks til holiday, must get bikini body by then :rotfl:)
Bought breakfast as forgot mine (and it was horrible)
Lunch and dinner from stores
Update spreadsheet with further cc expenditure :mad::o
Look at next month's budget to try to claw back some of cc expenditure. Shouldn't need as much food hopefully as will be on holiday for some of it.
Remove cc from purse to avoid further temptation.
Charge phone in work
Batch cook some rice and freeze it.
Possibly freeze some of the cookies I made yesterday. Does anyone know if cooked biscuits freeze ok?LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

Hello there :hello:
'Tis a happy house this morning with hubby going to work
Good luck for your first day OF :T
DNMS - good luck with all the mortgage apps/house viewings and all the rest of it. I know all the stress it can bring with it!! V exciting though! :T
Here's things avec moi…Packed lunch for me and hubby
- sandwiches - SC ham in coke w/ onion - about £3 for 6 sandwiches - although might get bored of sandwiches by then and use the meat in a pie…
Visiting pals - requested a night in rather than meal out :cool:
Taking a bottle of cava I had at home to pal's rather than buying vino - bottle I got as a pressie so 'free'
Booked train tickets via Quid co - 1% cashback :cool:
Saw a penny and picked it up - heard it's good luck
Reading a free Kindle book
Got free 'Cinema on a Sunday' tickets - buy 4 bags of sweets (half price in Mr M's for £1.04 each) and get a free ticket - works out about half price :T

Morning all!
Today marks the first proper day of my return to DFW ways! I had a NSD yesterday and planned ahead for the week, so hopefully LSD's all round, if not a few NSD's. I've also drawn myself a grid, for the next month, every time I have an NSD or LSD I'm going to mark it off with a different colour, so I can visualise!!
Today I have/will:-
* LSD (want to buy milk for coffee, and possibly some cans from the £ shop for my drawer)
* coffee was my freebie from the cafe on the corner
* bought lunch from home
* had breakfast at home
* clicks and super lucky button
* searches through SB
* keep an eye out for surveys etc
* log calories on free app
* exercise bike for 20 minutes tonight
* going to start sorting out some bits for ebay tonight
That is all for me, happy monday all!!
