I'm in a similar situation just now! Got a decision in principle with my partner and offer accepted on a house now just waiting for the decision to come back from Nationwide. Think they are 10 days behind at the moment! My partners credit score is fine but I have 3 late payments from 2008 and I'm terrified they decline us at the last step even though we went through the credit check getting the decision in principle!0
