i sincerely hope that his 'wife' was imaginary - i know my wife (also imaginary
) wouldn't exactly be jumping for joy at the prospect of me posting swathes of information about who we were, where we lived, who we banked with, when we 'bought' our house etc etc etc
mind you, they say love is blind. would have to be deaf, dumb and blind to marry that fella.'Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.'

291K average in Edinburgh?? Really?
Very bizarre.
That'd have to be getting on for outer London pricing....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Presumably Lloyds' main access to the Scottish market is through Bank of Scotland. Are they operating some sort of premium lender niche in the Scottish market? Their average values are a bit higher than the ROS as well, but only 7% or so.
Alternatively perhaps their definition of what Edinburgh is is different to the ROS?
But yeah £291K looks very high, higher than 11 London boroughs, although mind you I'd rather live in Edinburgh than most of those boroughs.0 -

ROS quarterly has Aberdeen +4.1% YoY
ASPC has Aberdeen +5.5% YoY.
Nice, steady rising prices.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

No wonder the thread starter didn't update us on the rise in prices.0 -
I have always found it astonishing that people take such interest in the small movements of a market. Fair enough if they are day traders, but if you're investing for the long term, in either shares or properties, then short term gains or losses are meaningless.0

They want to 'win' an argument. You can basically print the responses for them:
House prices down 0.1% becomes
> People who had been proposing falls: "I win. You're stupid".
> People backing increases: "0.1% is noise, wait till next month, you're stupid for thinking this means anything".
Next month there's a 0.1% rise and the positions were reversed.
At this stage I'm not sure the threads even achieve that. Is there anyone denying that prices are rising now? If not, then there isn't even a debate to try and win on the matter anymore.Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. Blackwhite bellyfeel double plus good...0
