Containers for freezing batch cooking

I want to start batch cooking but I don't have any containers that are suitable. Does anyone know where I can get cheap ones (I don't order Chinese food so not an option to re-use those as I dont have any) Thanks!

The "value" (or similar) containers from Tesco seem good. The price varies but I've often bought them in packs with three containers for a pound, and they work well.0

I get mine from the £ shop. I prefer plastic boxex as they go in the microwave. Another good option are pour'n'store bages which are £1.20 for 8 in Sainsburys.0

99p store do some really good ones, they come in packs of 3.0

I freeze a lot of our food and use the lock and lock boxes and not necessarily the branded ones, I have used the same idea of box from places like Wilkinsons and Asda and they are just as good. They also come in a good variety of sizes too.If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................

I got 6 from Poundland (£1 for all 6), they are also safe to microwave and luckily they each hold about a portion's worth. They stack on top of each other easily enough, but the lids don't close very securely, it's easy for them to open if knocked over but if you just stack them on top of each other and are a little careful it's fine so if you have a chaotic full-ish freezer you might want to give them a miss.:beer:0

If you're short of boxes you can line boxes with polythene bags and put the food in. Put the lid on and freeze. Once frozen take the bag out and you can reuse the boxes. All your portions will be kind of uniform shape and size. HTH
Also we sometimes use empty butter/margarine cartons.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Keep the portions as small as you can.... e.g. if freezing chilli con carne, freeze it in portions big enough to use as a jacket potato topping.... then you can use it for that, or you can take out 3-4 portions to make chilli for one person, or 6-8 portions to make chilli for two people.... but it gives you the flexibility.0
