Hi
I need a posh frock for an oriental party in the new year
But as i am not the slimmest person in the world, i am really struggling to find an oriental dress int he right shape for me
i have found one online (order from china) which i have fallen in love with, and would suit my shape, but....
1. its a little bit over my budget (not hugely but a bit)
2. im not keen on ordering from china
I am hoping to find someone reasonably locally to me (Basingstoke area but I'm happy to go to newbury reading farnborough winhester etc) who makes dresses, but doesn't charge quite as much as the businesses i have contacted!!
Maybe someone who does it as a hobby rather than for work
or maybe textiles student looking for more 'practice' and to earn a bit of cash too
can anyone on here recommend someone, or recommend themselves!!

Dressmakers, tailoresses and the like ARE expensive, as they charge per piece and the amount of work going into it.
IF you have a budget in mind, try ebay, or find a dress and tart it up.0 -
There was a small seamstress type place in the arcade in Aldershot when I went through it quickly the other day, not sure what she's like though ( or pricing, sorry)0
