  • Take a look at http://www.sachetsandmore.com/index.php

There's a whole range of products on there, and whilst there are some products that will be cheaper to buy elsewhere it's useful to see which products are available in individual portions and if it's difficult to get to all of the different 'real' shops to buy products then it could also be useful to buy from.
Despite the name, I'm actually a laydee!
  • How about sachets of Oat so Simple? Your Nan could make them with water rather than milk if necessary.

I definitely think the individual pots of custard and rice pudding are a good idea, also these are more nutritious than cup a soups if you think she would eat them http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=mug shots.

biscuits - Nairns (sp??) come in a box, but inside they have 4 or 6 individually wrapped packs. So that might be an idea.

Oats-so-simple as someone suggested is nice, I make mine the night before by mixing in a pot of yoghurt. Left covered in the fridge over night it makes a cold porridge style brekkie the next day. I'm not a fan of milk, so do purley for that reason. You could get a couple of posh yoghurts for her if she like that kind of thing.

The snack packs of raisins/apricots/prunes etc? Individual jellies and sponge puddings, cheesecakes etc (icecream if freezing is possible).

Some great ideas on the thread.

Is your Nan actually getting medical help with this 'phobia' or whatever it is? Does the doctor actually know the situation or just that she is losing weight? It would be worth making sure it is known as it seems to be affecting daily life. Perhaps talk through with NHS direct?

If family made individual meals, would she eat them? Is it leftovers that she is not keen on because they are boring for the second day or is it the hygiene?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

  • Oh check all your poundshops, Ive seen Pantene shampoo/conditioner in sachets (you get a long strip of them) in the pound shop (think its 99p store?) Also I think it was poundworld that had travel sized bottles of Dove shower gel/shampoo 3 for £1, much cheaper than the ones that are £1 odd each in supermarkets etc! x

Some of the mr kipling slices are now actually individually sealed in their own little plastic pod, they come in packs of 6 (2 rows of 3 pods) with a card board sleeve. They do lemon slices and pineapple slices definately but there may be others too.
