Newbie to the Board but an avid comper

Hi,

I am new to this site but have enjoyed reading some of the posts so far. I have been lucky enough to win a few goodies already including the entire Egyptian set of Playmobil for my kids worth just over £200. How thrilled were we!!!

I chec various sites and have "won" things but I always have to then fill out pages of stuff and then put my mobile number down, which I refuse to do. Are these ones defite no-no's...? Does anyone pay the postage on items, as I have aslo been notified about iPod Shuffle wins and have to enter card details for 50p worth of postage, which again, I refuse to do...

Any advice would be great - thank you. I use such sites as greatcompetitions, offerx, myoffers etc... are these all legitimate?

We are having a dry spell and would love to win some more goodies. Something for us would be nice and give the kids a small break. ;) I also do a few online magazine comps and FB etc...

Thank you and take care,
flutterpillar76
:j Thanx to all who post the comps!!! :j

  • Hi,

My rule is that I would never pay for a prize (apart from travel expenses and spending money) I keep getting those emails too where I 'win' something, but have to pay for postage. If you look you should also see you get a months free membership to some site. That is why they will want your card details so they can then take money off you every month and it will be difficult to stop it as it is a card payment (unlike a DD that you can cancel)

Welcome to the boards, you will soon find lots of comps to enter here. There is a comping guide which also gives you advice about the boards and how to find the comps. Id recommend reading that first too.
