DFS Half price sale

hi,

Just wondering if there are any success stories for extra money off at DFS? Half price sale is on at the mo, I got a flyer for another £50 off, just wondering how much else I could realistically get.

Thanks

  • Well, after such an astonishing response I'm off back to buy me a sofa or 2. I'll let you all know how I get on.

I'm hopefully in the process of buying a suite from them at the moment.
They said that they will still knock of the £25 per item vouchers and also I've managed to haggle £100 off the selling price.

I don't know of any new vouchers.

Don't worry, DFS have a " permanent sale ", they only sell junk anyway.

For those who are interested , i also got in the post a "credit card" style card that had promotion for £250 off - haggle hard and if they don't want to play, walk away !

I went in when I was comparing against an M&S sofa and they asked who I was comparing with and I told them. They then said to me that they only sell fashionable stuff - so I went straight back to M&S and bought their sofa (double the price of DFS's!) as I wasn't going to be patronised by one of their salespeople!

I cannot understand how they get away with their constant "sales".
  • have heard so many horror stories about this shop as well as the one i had, i wouldnt touch them with a hairy barge pole
  • NEVER EVER buy a sofa from DFS their after sales service is absouloute S!!!e, bought a sofa two years ago with guards man (an extra £170) and it doesnt work! I considered buying from DFS but ended up going to a local store. My order got delivered yesterday and my cosy corner which comes in two pieces was two different shades of brown. I phoned the store and was informed that they would contact me today. Within two hours of them phoning me today they had picked up one part of the cosy corner, took it back to the warehouse and brought back another one that matched exactly. Yes, I spent more money than what I would have done at DFS, but would I have got the same customer service..... I don't think so.
