Child Photo Agency Work

My Daughter is thinking of signing up with a Child Photo Agency for work for our grandson. He's 11 and "we think" he's good looking
Both companies she has spoken to want money up front. Its not a great deal of money but I'm worried they will end up wanting more and more
Any advice welcome

What will you get for the payment?

Can they put you in touch with others who have used their services?

How long have they been in business?

A decent agency shouldn't charge a fee. There are loads of agencies around that, not matter what a child looks like, will promise that 'we will definetly find find work for your child'.
They sign-up loads of kids at £x per child. They make loads of money, your child makes little or nothing.

Genuine agencies never ask you to pay fees. Dodgy ones who never find you / your child work will want money up front. Don't sign up with them it's a scam.

What does your grandson think about it?
I believe it is not easy to get work for child models aoutside London. What about his schooling?
  • Thanks for all the comments
I was thinking along the same lines
I'll try to pursuade my daughter to rethink the idea

"Send him down the Coal Mine when he's 11 like his Great Great Grandddad. He still had the black scars on his back when he was 80 to prove it"

    Thanks to everyone that replied
