The unsecured is now down to circa £14k - they are doin well, and as discussed on other threads they are very much trying to get their lives back on track.
Now we are looking at the best mortgage solution. Should I be pointing them in the direction of brokers for a 2 year fix (and then a view to downsizing)?0 -

Firstly find out what the follwo on rate os for the current mortgage and what deals the lender may have on offer for retaining customers (if any)
Getting a new mortgage may prove difficult if the debts haven't been maintained and from an affordability point of view. Equity is on their side but time isn't. Age would dictate the term.
