Still available at 12noon today.
Still has added sugar but a lot less per 100g's than they put in their baked beans.

I've just got back from Tesco. It's actually the EV mushy peas that are on offer again, but this time at just 4p.

The EV processed marrowfat peas are 14p.

I feel an experimental batch of pea soup coming on. 1 x 4p tin of peas, 1 vegetable stock cube and 500ml of water. How MSE is that?

It will depend on what the peas taste like :D

Morrisons have the same peas for the same price, but with their own label, so I might give them ago.

Just bought some more, see where I went wrong the first time.
Loaded a tray of Marrowfat and a tray of Mushy and the till operator nor I noticed. Paid for 24 at 4p.
    Easily done.

I use the 4p peas for soup making and put MrT frozen mixed veg in which is 75p.

The experiment was a success. I'm enjoying a big bowl of delicious pea soup as I type this. It was a bit thin at first, so either use just 400ml of water or reduce it back down to 500ml as I did.
