I bought 21 boxes of value bran flakes during the recent fuel promotion -7 boxes got me 10p off each time. I know the boxes are probably smaller than you hoped for, but it is really cheap and I just add fruit on top. It tastes EXACTLY the same as other well known brands.

Do these value bran flakes this keep you regular? :)
  • You can get 10kg bulk packs of branded cereals from catering wholesalers but they are usually more expensive than if you were to buy the retail packs when they were on offer & supermarket own brands are cheaper still.

Another option would be buying the ingredients to make your own either from a health/wholefood shop or a scoop & save type shop, if you don't have one near you there are plenty online such as:

Most of the time this would work out more expensive too though.

Personally I would stick with whatever is on special offer & supermarket own brands unless you have specific dietry requirements in which case you may be better off buying the infredients & making your own.

If you ate Value Bran Flakes but had a lousy diet full of junk, then no, they wouldn't keep you regular. But if you ate loads of vegetables and fruit, hardly any junk, and no takeaways or ready meals, and cooked everything from scratch, then yes, they would keep you regular. :)

    I love skip diving.
    :D
  • I use Costco for bulk buys
  • I buy waitrose essentials cereals as nice as branded cereals but much cheaper, and sometimes ocado or waitrose have some random cereal for £1 in which case I buy the maximum 20 boxes allowed. A couple of months ago on Ocado this was the Jordan's version of Krave, but the Jordan's one was much nicer. Nestle cereals are often on a good offer but I won't buy anything made by nestle out of principle but even so there are a lot of other good choices out there xx
