I count the items on the receipt around 20 times, it just never looks enough :rotfl:

Me too, it drives my OH dmented - for goodness sake if it was 10 items in the yogurt section it will still be 10 by the time we have walked the 3 yards to the tills and how amny value toothbrushes can we actually use ....

Mind you, the number of seemingly good receipts we have collected with the right number of items on that wont compare its no wonder we count the items over and over ...

    Morning everyone :)

Staples comp where I think you are guaranteed a prize (38,000 prizes) but you will need to have a Staples store nearby to collect your winnings, unless you are lucky enough to win the top prize of Merlin pass for family of 4 which will be posted to you.

You can have as many goes at the comp as you like before you submit your claim for a prize ;) Most frequent prizes seem to be the O'neill pencil cases, the back to school kit and the usb stick

Hi such a kind & thoughtful thing you have done. I too was inspired by FK's post & looked into the food bank but York doesn't seem to be on the list so I will look into another way of donating. I am sure the likes of A's & T's won't mind seeing as it is for a charitable cause ;)

I am convinced that there is a homelss shelter in York - actually based in the city centre. Try asking in the library.

(my eldest lives in York, hence the local knowledge :))

Failing that I do know someone who works with the homeless shelters in Leeds - bit far to go from York unless you work/study/have friends there etc. But if anyone in Leeds wants a contact email please pm me.
