I picked this up today. It's supposed to be for your upper arm but I can get it round my ankle no problem. My iPhone fits in to it even though it looks as if it won't. My credit cards and cash along with a copy of my ticket and a copy of my passport page will be in there too all safe and sound. And, it was only £6.

They have copied Miss.Laid's list of cheap items over onto the 'dark side'.

I assume with the message that posters over there should come over here and thank MissLaid's post?;)

Problem with the Barbour that DS bought is that it isn't washable. So too much wear and it stinks. After careful sponging (too much and the wax goes and it isn't waterproof) and a bottle of febreeze and now it stinks of blue blossom flavoured febreeze :(

Yeah, that's Barbours though and you are supposed to have them re waxed regularly. If you let the wax get too dry then they are knackered as the material can't take a new layer of wax again. Some people say they have never rewaxed a Barbour but I'm guessing theirs are the old ones, made when things were made to last.

I only sponged mine once and only in one specific place so I can't have wiped the wax away.

I always made sure I wore clean clothes before wearing mine so as not to make it smelly.

Did he buy one of those trendy designer ones aimed at the young folk these days? I see young people wearing them about town and I often wonder if they know not to put them in the washing machine.

Leenie if you are near York next week you should definitely pay a visit to the Designer Outlet with the M & S outlet but more importantly they have a Mamas & Papas outlet. They have some good reductions in there. Don't forget to go on their website and request a catalogue and they will email you a £5 voucher no minimum spend.:D
By the way how long is it to the new arrival?

Leenie I would also recommend you go, I haven't been to the York one but the East Midlands is similar and there are soooo many bargains. If you register before you go you can print off a voucher for an extra 10% off in most of the shops. The Levis shops is fantastic, I hate buying jeans as I am vertically challenged (short, stumpy legs :(). and never thought I could buy from Levis. They just say, give me ten minutes and they will fit you. Alter them there and then - nothing is ever too much trouble. I got a pair the other week that had been £100 plus in the shops, they were in the bargain basement bit (funnily enough) for £15, hey presto 10 minutes later they fit me perfectly. Everyone keeps asking where I got them from. And don't get me started on the Radley shop. Think I am due a visit:D:D:D

This is the link to register for the extra 10% off
