  • If anyone is going to stock up on the Clinique freebies in this month's InStyle mag, I just got some in my T extra, even though Martin's email said from Thurs (often London and surrounding get mags a day or two earlier) PLUS instead of £3.80 they are stickered at a special T price £2.50 :T

On a negative, I bought 6 of the kids "3 for £5" books today including 2 pirate ones but they went through correctly :(

Well, now I am in a quandry. My A had loads of the Heinz on a stand and we even looked at them but I chickened out as I didnt want to mess up my shop - I was just buying 3 wines and a few bits to use up small value APGs. I can justify the wine, my OH was impressed with its "real value" yesterday but buying an over large ketchup bottle ....

I totally understand. I thought the same yesterday until I realsed that you can actually use it in your cooking!!!!!

I bought a few this afternoon from my little asdas. Thanks to everyone for the team work:T

How is everyone using up their little APG extras?

I just made a quick tidy up curry with a few of mine:

I'm sure some of you can come up with some novel ways of utilising the odd mushroom, broccoli floret, wee carrot etc.

Maybe a quick tidy up stir fry with asda price noodles and a small broken off bit of ginger and carrot shavings, etc?

    A tidy up frittata?

    A tidy up mini casserole?

    Tidy up soup?

    ..........?

Anyone else noticed that in the price flop mag, there are coupons for specific items and none of them compare .

    highland spring water
    kettle crisps
    KP nuts

Mr T been doing his homework :(

That is exaclty what I was thinking. I went through all sorts of stoned fruit, kettle chips and yogurts etc. but found nothing.

The jammie dogers are £2.99  so not much of a saving if you use the 50p MOC. They are £2 in A so you do at least get a small TPP - if it ever comes back, having to r-enter my only receipt this week.

But £2.99 for biscuits - well we have been trying various value bisuits for between 29p and about 50p - nothing wrong with any of them

That looks tasty!! I was going to do something boring tonight but since the OH is working late I am going to use the extra hours make some slow roast pork with mash, veggie bits and onion gravy. Hopefully it will make up for working so hard! <3

    thats right you'll get the £8.43 + 10% back

and yes easier getting in tesco, if you can find any
but doesn't seem to be much about in tesco
so for many easier just to pop into asda where they have quite a bit

question answered short and sweet thanks

    Cheers, FK :)

What's cooking in your well used kitchen this evening? Have you thought up any ways to use up the Heinz five beanz?

Hope we get some inspiring pics posted. I am gonna try a chilli beans idea this weekend. Similar to my regular chilli but totally meat free. Grated carrots and lentils for bulking, onions, garlic, five beanz instead of meat, peppers, tomatoes, chilli, coriander, cumin and stock. (not forgetting a wee bit of dark chocolate too;))

If it works, I will get more beans in as it will save me a fortune on minced beef ;)
