I'm in an ethical pickle here and would like others opinions please.
I have wombled a receipt from As that has 2 John Frieda shampoos on it at £5 each but they are on a 3 for £10 promotion!!! They effectively missed out on a "buy 2 get 1 free" deal by not picking up a 3rd free bottle!! Silly unsavvy shopper!
Do you think I could go in, show them the receipt, say I didn't realise until I got home that I didn't pick up enough bottles for the promotion and see if they'll let me have a 3rd one free?
It it really an ethical pickle..... The original buyer cannot benefit from it now anyway, Asda have factored it in to their pricing so I would say go for it.
Having said that, I'm such a wimp I wouldn't dare:)To do is to be. Rousseau

I got onee of these on Sat - not yet worked out what is the best item to buy and from where..
I thought it was John Lewis... or maybe it's a myth. either way, doubt I'll put it to the test, I hate shopping ( i really do!!) :rotfl:
The Premier Foods coupon covers a lot of brands but I picked a Loyd Grossman Tomato & Red wine sauce for £1 and bl00dy lovely it is too - had it first with pasta and tuna with a load of grated cheese melting on top:T
Then I bought another one with a wombled APG of course and did pork mince bolognese, I tell you it's delicious!:DLearn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be

its amazing how many don't partake of the free one, silly isn't it
RE: dilema
how did they pay?? would be my first thought
and another thought
what if they ask if you have other 2 so they can refund those and put offer through proberly i.e you getting free oneGoing through my wombles and I have just found ANOTHER person bought 2x£5 John Friedas. I guess the store I was at didn't have the 3 for £10 signs up. Why else would so many people only buy 2???0 -

Theoretically it's exactly the same principle as putting a wombled receipt through for an APG, you are only claiming what another (less savvy) person had thrown away.
If it was me I would do it... , I happily use APG's from wombles all the time so this would be no different! I would claim the other one too but in a different store though!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be

I figure they'll need to do a return of 2 bottles and then sell 3 bottles back to me to keep their stocks right but if they do it all in one transaction there will be nothing to pay/refund so it doesn't matter how it was paid
I was going to ask at CS if they would do it for me (but explain I don't have the bottles with me!) If they agree I will then go fetch the 2 bottles on receipt and pick up a 3rd one that I want for myself. Get them to scan the two that are on the receipt for a return, then scan all three for the exchange, leave them the original two to put back on their shelves and I walk away with the third one free
(Whoa, thats a lot more complicated typed out than it was n my head. We'll see how it goes in practice)Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Have you checked the receipt date? Maybe the offer was different at the time of the purchase.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. LOL. You could just fetch one bottle and let them scan it 3 times. It would save them having to return bottles to the shelves.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
