Anyone tried the wine yet today please????

    squigs
    - hope the weather picks up and you get some trade soon :(

Blondynurse - sounds like she's got a crackin' babysitter in you :)

mhoc - totally agree re the duvet, I get mine done at the laundrette too as all I think about is trying to wash it myself and breaking my machine, then that'd be £150 odd, so £5-£10 sounds VERY reasonable! I personally have a posh microfibre one which I got for £42 down from £80 at Clarks Village, it's perfect and I won't part with it until I really have to, it's square-pocketed so looks and feels like a goose down one...I used to have goose down duvet and pillows until I realised I was only getting sniffly when going to bed, must have become a bit allergic over the years! :o

celebrate - don't you dare, you stay right here where you belong! PS please PM me your addy so I can send you my Eid ribbons :)

Out of curiosity I had a look and found this one, a snip in the sale at £337

HOW MUCH?! I would pay up to £100 for a duvet but only if it was reduced and worth much more, because I personally think it's worth paying for a really good duvet, but £337?!:eek::eek:

Clipstrip Bargains - Hope you get a pretty cast and hope your leg (I think...) is better soon :)

Re. the APG advice.....I didn't even appear on here till stacks of people had already commented. I also stick by my comments the other day, getting huge APG's (and of course subsequently re-using them over and over again) is selfish and greedy and is likely to ruin it for everyone.

I am also all for getting plenty of stuff on glitches and always have been. What I 'preach' is that people do it in a manner that doesn't draw attention to what we as a collective do. With so many people now 'savvy shopping' any unwanted attention is likely to bring an end to things. I'm sure none of us want that?

You really don't seem to 'get it'......spreading the beer around over lots of stores is not the same as sticking 3 lots on the same conveyor and doing the shops one after another. Doing one DTD in a store (regardless of value) is not the same as getting 20 of the same item and requesting DTD. I guess if you can't see that then it might explain why you have so many confrontations in stores. :(

i completely get it and i agree
i just don't agree with your insulting condascending tone when you try and give advice

i didn't have 20 odd mens deo's in superdrug i was merely using 2 loreal shampoo coupons and 2 mens deo

i got trouted in asda for buying 6 loo roll then went in to buy another 6
you posted a pic of your trolley full from one shop (or was that miss laid?)and plenty of people have reported getting 10-12 packs or more in one shop, you post pics on facebook of a trolley full of washing up tabs i presume all from one shop??

i agree i may have done 3 butter DTD's but they were in express stores that I don't frequent and will probably never do DTD in again, plus I don't care for phones but yes we do use alot of butter

also some of us don't have the luxury of spending our whole days "touring" T's or have many in close vicinity

I work pretty full time and have 3 kids under 10, dragging kids from store to store on my days off is out of the question so i grab what i can when I can. i don't drink and I don't eat meat so the glitches I partake in are limited

We all have very different lives and circumstances. My point is the way advice is given should be non judgemental understanding manner, not everyone will spell out their own individual circumstances and reasons for what, why and how they glitch. I really don't want to go down the road of HUKD type intolerance:(:(:(

My opinions on APG re-use and the return of DTD items on golden receipts

Re-using APGs because receipt wasn't marked
A's might have a central processing facility that records the details of the APGs redeemed. If they see multiples of the same one coming through they MAY rethink/withdraw/amend the policy. Hopefully it will not be withdrawn and will merely be amended in one of two ways. 1 - retrain staff to always mark "APG" on receipts so that they can't be used again. 2 - implement T's system where the till recognises the barcode as having been used already

Returning items that generated an APG (which was redeemed)
A's CS staff scan the receipt barcode on all returns. There may be a processing team somewhere who are able to tally receipts that had returned items versus APGs that were redemmed. Again this may lead to a re-thnk of the policy when they see items are being bought, vouchers claimed and used, then items returned in full

Hopefully, if they choose to do anything about this they can amend their system so that when CS scans a barcode for a return the till says "APG redeemed/generated" and then they can check if the item being returned gave any value to the APG. If it did then the return value should be reduced by the amount given on the voucher for that item as per the T&Cs

Returning items to T's that generated PPs or golden DTDs
T's staff do not scan barcodes or record any details of the receipt in question when doing a return. There is no way for them to know if the receipt generated a PP (since the SA's rarely mark them) or was given DTD. EVERY DTD I have ever had has been marked on the receipt. I have never had a "golden" so I've never faced this situation

There is no way for a central processing facility to konw if the PP they receive is from a receipt that has items on it that were subsequently returned. Doing any of this may be morally/ethically wrong (I dont want to get into THAT argument) but at least it is not trackable and will not lead to a rethink of DTD policy. If people want to use this practice then at least it shouldn't hurt the rest of us who choose not to

    Re-using T's PPs
Thankfully T's have implemented new barcodes/software that recognise when a voucher is used so this is no longer an issue. Tme will tell if A's adopt a similar policy

    Disclaimer :p
I am not whiter than white so I can't say "don't do this" to any of the above instead I am going to say "you shouldn't do it"

Everyone is free to do as they wish. I just hope that those who chose to do something that they shouldn't do it in a way that can't be tracked (and the only thing that I can see has no danger of being tracked is returning items to Ts that resulted in a DTD or PP)

    Excellent post. :T
