    Hi!!!
Hope your first few weeks haven't been too traumatic!
Just had an F1 who looked about 12 come to cannulate my niece
After 6 failed attempts last night and a nurse put it into the tissue, her arm is now 6 times the size of normal grr!
Asked if she really needed a drip and could she drink now as not ?appendix anymore. She didn't know anything about her and "went to find out" 2 hours later still nothing, when went to ask she said casually "oh yes she can drink has no-one told you?" grrrrrrrr!
I know everyone is busy but communication and a good bedside manner cost nothing:mad:
    Rant over:A
Remember to "talk" to your patients as well as treat them dear Karlie :Axxx:A
All the best and don't forget to find some time for a bit of glitching to keep you sane!;)

Celebrate! So good to hear from you. :)

I'd say I'm an expert at doing cannulas. I literally have about 200 signed off. :rotfl: It's all about looking for the best vein. Applying the tourniquet to a few different parts of the arm and finding that little beauty that no-one else has bothered to find. :D Not just going for the first semi-decent vein and giving that one a go.

Communication is really important, I agree. :T Manchester is quite a heavy emphasis on communication skills. I dream about communication skills sometimes. :rotfl:

Hope you're ok celebrate. The skipping club is always here for you.

The loo roll is 'shades' pack of 9 white. Could be labeled on the shelf as £3 but poss going through at £1.50.

Some stores even have a SEL for £1.50.

The ones in my store were £3 on the shelf, asked for someone to check price on till, and sadly it was going through at £3, so put it back!

It's been a while since I've had a read though posts / threads but spotted this.

Do you know that B & Q now have a B & Q club and one of the benefits of this is you get free "You Can Do It and Kids Can Do It Classes". It's free to join.

Not sure how many kids per application but might be worth looking into especially if you are there anyway for one.

http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/content/marketing/bandqclub/index.jsp?icamp=HP_P1-1_nom4 for a bit more information.

Weren't the kids clubs free anyway though?

For Christmas I bought my son an iPad and my grand-daughter an iPod.

The wife gave me an iPhone and I got her an iRon.

She wasn’t overjoyed, even after I explained it can be integrated with the iWash, iCook and iClean network.

So she activated the iNag software which totally wiped out the i$hag function.

    So now iW@^&

Hope its not to offensive .

Sorry, neosi has already told that joke.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Very well. :D Mum's up for the bank holiday weekend. :)

Had a flying lesson last week and went up in one of those light aircrafts and took control of the plane for about 10 minutes. Nearly pooped my knicks but I enjoyed it so much. :rotfl:

Also went go-karting to a proper professional place. The karts we went on were capable of doing 70mph! Loved that to bits too. The owner of the place was quite surprised at my driving. Said I was a pro and taking all the proper racing lines. Learnt that from watching F1. Looking into buying a go-kart now. :rotfl: Can get a decent second hand one for about £800.

And how are you michjay? And everyone else? :D

Where would you keep and ride your own go cart?
