So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -

Evening guys - we've had rumbling thunder and heavy rain on and off all day today  My friends for Portsmouth took an extra hour to drive up due to the bed weather on the way. They got here at 6 pm and, after a cuppa, we started clearing the sitting room ready for decorating. Sofa and chairs in middle of room with loads of clutter on them
Washed down the walls and woodwork ready to start painting tomorrow. Almost 9pm before they left to drive to Cambridge where they are staying at a friend's house. They connected the tv and modem up for me before they left and I have just purned one of the chairs back round and made myself as comfy as I can. Will have to move 3 large boxes off my bed before I can get in there later and some things out of the shower tray before I shower in the morning
I took doggies to the kennels about 3pm and then went to get my new furniture to find that they had sold out of the sideboard, so was only able to get the nest of tables, and the bookcase. Manager rang the other local store but they had sold their last 3 sideboards that morning  She did check with their warehouse to find that more are on order so I reserved one for when they come in, anything from 2 days to a week. I as so disappointed as the lads were going to put them all together for me on Monday, but they will do the others and I will try to do the sideboard myself when it comesFudge_Cake wrote: »Oooooh eeeeee! You're decorating??:T Brilliant! Don't blame you for removing the girls from the equation :rotfl:I nearly ended up with a third blinkin doggie on Tuesday! Mum phoned me mid Sainbob's beanz shop saying shall we get a 1 year old toy poodle that a friend of a friend is having to get rid of?!!:eek: I said 'you're joking right?!!!!!!!!!!' £72 a month on insurance already and she wants another! She said 'Yeah but you haven't seen the photo'
:p:p:p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I haven't brought it up since for fear of starting her off again!
Arh, a lovely little toy poodle ........ how can you resist?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Mind you, that is an awfull lot of money to be paying out for insurance petal

I gave most of them to my brother who damaged his knees playing football and waiting on second op on one of them to remove/replace? Cartalidge but kept a strip just in case I need any.
I have found though not to tell relatives what meds I'm on, have had many calls asking for one or two pills. On one occasion a friend of my cousin asked about the tramadol and how much would I sell the box for  I didn't realise until then that people were 'adicted' to them, I had to hide the two boxes I had left at that point in case he stole them and the other meds I had (totalling over 600 pills of which 200 were tramadol and 100 my reflux meds)
I did get an education that night about the street value of my meds and to be very careful who knew what I had, I just wish my mum would be as careful she has on occasion said to people that I'm on the same meds as they are and if they run out or forget to pick up their script to ask her and they can borrow some
Mothers!
When Alan passed away, I got all his meds, put them in a couple of carriers and took them into the surgery dispensary for disposal as I was concerned about having them in the house, especially the morphine ............ to be honest, I didn't know how I would be after his death and didn't want such strong meds in the house with mejumblejack wrote: »Toodlypips peeps.

Having seen FK's pic, I am off to try a larger Asda.
Collected up my neighbour's gift of 5 slugs off my decking, popped them in a brown envelope (with a large piece of lettuce so as they don't starve whilst he is out at work) and have written him a nice little note on the front, and just going to pop it through his letter box on my way out
"Please find enclosed unwanted gift. I don't need any more slugs thanks, I have enough of my own.
This is now the third time I have seen you donate them over to me, but perhaps in the future you would be kind enough to re-home them elsewhere. Thanks"
Thing is, the sticky has worn off the envelope and I can't seal it upOh well, let's hope he is not late home from work

Just catching up over a cuppa. Need to source some cheap cartridges for my printer - i usually only do black and white printing at home but it's asking me to install the pink/magenta and won't let me ignore the warning and continue boo hoo. :rotfl: Not very mse.. spending £30 on cartridges to print out an APG for £7
Hope everyone is well.
Clipstrip, good luck for today for the your surgery on your achilles tendon - hope you recover quickly.
Hi Tiger, I don't know if it's any good to you, but I always use this site for ink,

I generally get free photo paper, they come by courier (although since they changed which one they use, they are a bit slower, last one took 3 days or so), but all said and done compatibles are a tenth of the price you'd pay in the shops. (Confess to not knowing anything about epsons though, but may be worth a look).housewifeintraining wrote: »Another one here who would love a cheese glitch - OH can't do anything involving cheese without cutting a wedge off to eat :p
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: My DH calls me 'Ratty' because of how much cheese I eat! Though he is guilty of it too, I like to check after he's been to the fridge though, because he can't/won't cut cheese straight! This won't do for my OCD so I straighten it up and obviously polish off the trimmings!! :rotfl:

Evening everyone! I have not been able to post for quite some time due to being a mummy with a teething baby!
I am afraid I really do not have anything to add tonight but was just wondering if anyone could advise me on Asda 's price changes? I was in 3 stores today and none had stock of the pampers underjams which I was looking for, I have decided the only way to get them is to do an online order. My question is, if I order tonight for delivery on Monday should I get them for the same price on the screen tonight or will the prices normally have changed by Monday? Sorry for the long winded post. Thanks for your help in advance. PS was unsure as to where to post this?0 -
