I'm bottom of the quiz leader board because I made the mistake of doing it just before the maintenance time started. When I clicked "submit" it said maintenance.
So I started again 3 hours later, but the clock must have started the first time so it recorded 12792 seconds!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I am hosting a charity night next week for a little local 4 year old boy, who is fighting cancer. The family need to raise £250.000 to send him to the US for antibody therapy. Some of you locals to me may have heard of the appeal
http://www.familiesagainstneuroblastoma.co.uk/FamiliesAgainstNeuroblastoma_Connor_Whipp.html
The appeal is more so important now, sadly Connor's little friend lost his fight last night:(:(:(
Anyhow,
I have funded so far, purely on donations from local businesses
A venue, comedians, singer/pianist, disco and lots of good raffle prizes.
T's made a donation of £25 for the bufffet and I have £30 in L2S vouchers, which I can use in Iceland, and a couple of apg's totalling £40. I need to make this money stretch to a buffet approx 100 people, although I have yet to sell not nearly as many tickets:eek::eek: and I need to source helium from somewhere:eek::eek:.
I am going to make the buffet myself but am so a fussy eater I would not know what to make and how best to utilise the money I have available.
Could any kind peeps give me some suggestions and point me in directions to vouchers I can print. I was really hoping the price [STRIKE]flop[/STRIKE] I mean drop:D mag would help me this week
Sorry for rambling on, now the event is so close the pressure is getting to me_pale__pale__pale__pale_

Was in morrisons & noticed a few half price things i wanted. With the sweet sunday chocs offer i finally had enough items for apg to get the extra asda 10%
APG vs Morrisons
1 x M&M's Chocolate (185g) £2.09£1.04
1 x M&M's Peanut (185g) £2.09 £1.04
7 x Galaxy Bites (140g) £14.63 £7.28
4 x Milky Way Magic Stars (130g) £8.36 £4.16
1 x Robinsons Double Concentrate Apple & Blackcurrant £3.65 £1.82
1 x Simple Pure Soap for Sensitive Skin (4x125g) £2.20 £1.24
2 x Nestle Cheerios (375g) £4.56 £2.28
3 x Aptamil First Infant Milk Ready Made from Birth On... £2.07 £2.07
Comparison total £39.65 £20.93
(Get £20.82 voucher back)
all below should work against morrisons (bought 'few' bags of each this week - except minstrels)
- Minstrels
- Revels
- Maltesers
- Galaxy Counters
- M&M Nuts
- M&M chocs
- Magic Stars
- Galaxy Bites
APG is excellent way to get baby formula milk at a 10% discount. But remember to get the 7 other items. I've never seen the from birth first milk reduced ever.
Thank you to aau98113 as i didnt even clock onto what he / she said until now. On my reciept its taken off 2F£3 on the chocs x 3 but its not got it on the apg...think i'll have to go back for more. Sorry i cant tell which one it is as i had done the shops before i read below.
Above was first page of this thread i read....only have time to skim 1 or 2 pages per thread these days but will post if find anything worthwhile
Other things cheaper in M than A are
- Vaseline body sprays both aloe (green) fresh + blue one (both 150ml & larger size)
- Golden Wonder 6pk - Tomotoe Ketchup flavour
So is the choc still comparing with M's?0 -
Is anyone else catching celeb BB. Nice shot of the Prince they just showed ...he has a better body than the situation!
Sorry, bit off topic I know0 -
HC is going dark for the next 50 or so hours whilst he does a clean install of Mountail Lion on his Mac.
I reckon I had a dodgy install (had on with Lion too!) and the recent update messed things up even more as when I brought the Mac out of sleep mode there was soo much lag it was taking me 5 minutes just to shut the thing down.
I'll be on my iPad to skim though.0 -
