How to make ribbon decorations for presents
You will need:-
Two lengths of ribbon, one for the present and one for the bow. The one for the bow needs to be about 1” wide for best results.
Needle and thread
Small piece of elastic
Embroidery/Tapestry thread or similar
First we make the ribbon for the present, sew the end of the elastic onto the end of the ribbon, using an overlapping (back) stitch as it won’t hold otherwise. Next, wrap the ribbon around the box, overlapping opposite corners. Holding each end of the ribbon, turn the box over so you can see where the ribbon meets, cut the ribbon excess off leaving a small overlap if you wish to have the elastic hidden. Stretch the loose end of the elastic enough to hold the ribbon in place on the box and fasten with a pin or a single stitch, you can then remove the ribbon and finish sewing on the elastic.
To make the bow, take a length of the embroidery thread and lay it vertically on the table. Lie the ribbon shiny side down, horizontally.
Cross the two ends of ribbon in front of each other, making sure the thread stays roughly in the apex of the cross.
The next bit is the tricky bit...pick the bow up, holding the top part of the thread tight in your fingers, and wrap the loose end around the ribbon to make the bow, this is the best way to keep it in shape. Keep wrapping the cord until you have the desired effect, leaving enough length to tie the bow to the main ribbon.
Tie the bow onto the main ribbon with the thread, tie off with a triple knot and snip the loose ends, make it secure but not too tight as you will probably need to move it along the ribbon. Fix the main ribbon onto the box so the elastic is on the underside and slide the bow into the desired position, finish by snipping the ends of the bow diagonally – done!
Oh wow, they look great. Thank you for sharing. :A:TN1LDA0 -

If anyone missed the OP on grabbit there are ladies black jeans for £3.75 on this weby.
Mine just arrived, and they are lovely. But if you are between 2 sizes go for the smaller one, they come up quite big (they come in various lengths)
On a pop up the front page there is a code for free postage & returns for people new to the site.

I get £5.98 per bottle x 3 = £17.94. T's = £12, so you get £5.94 + 10% is 59p Total of £6.53 APG?
£10 - £6.53 = £3.47 / 3 = £1.16
HELP!! Where am I going wrong please?
Here's my workings
6 bottles bought
35.88 (a$da)
24.00 (Tosco)
35.88-24.00= 11.88
10% difference= 1.18
11.88-1.18=10.70
10.70/6 = 1.78 per bottle????:(0
