It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
The world is full of people throwing stones at us. Its what you do with them that counts. Build a wall or build a bridge.0 -
Anyone have a handheld Dyson, I have an upright Dyson - the older design so quite bulky - and am fed up with struggling with it around the furniture etc. I really like the look of the rechargable hand held Dyson DC35 animal (hairy dog!) but want to know how good it is.0

Thanks to ukros on darkside. How to make the lurpak more spreadable from the fridge ( DIY lurpak spreadable)
Measure out 135-140ml of sunflower oil into a bowl. Cut a 250g pack of butter (at room temperature) into about 4 chunks and put these in the oil.
Mix with a stick blender. You have to push down on the butter to start with, but it won't splash. A few minutes later you have what looks like quite runny butter.
Pour into an empty 500g plastic container, scraping the remainder out of the bowl with a spatula. Cover the the container and put it in the fridge, it will set in a few hours and then be perfect spreadable butter. You also know exactly what is in it!
I do this all the time when the sticks of butter are on a good offer and it takes about 10 minutes to do. The resulting spreadable butter can also be frozen, just like normal butter0 -

munchies , minstrels and revels do not compare so will be going back, in fact if it's working today may just take the whole shop back and start again
Is it really viable to take these back ?
Surely it will c0ck up the APG voucher and draw attention ?
When I bought last night I bought two of each to try it, and four bags cost me 90p each, so a "loss" of £2.36 - if the glitch is confirmed later I will more than make up for that.
p.s. is the butter still working?0 -
zippydooda wrote: »luckily i had a good idea earlier. instead of throwing my old freezer away. i put it in the shed. i emptied 2 cupboards of softner and dish tabs and put them in the broken freezer. the freezer will protect the softner from frost in the winter as it is a good insulator. so we got room again. i hope the choc glitch is still working as i got £50 worth.:o
Brilliant idea:T:TAnyone have a handheld Dyson, I have an upright Dyson - the older design so quite bulky - and am fed up with struggling with it around the furniture etc. I really like the look of the rechargable hand held Dyson DC35 animal (hairy dog!) but want to know how good it is.
Floflo I had exactly the same problem as you, hairy dog but the dyson was so heavy and cumbersome I gave up with it after a year, that and it killed my arm(Tennis elbow) I swapped to this and its the best thing ever, light as a feather and it got stuff out of my cream carpet that I didnt even know was their:o:oDoesnt need bags and is brilliant on stairs so I would imagine would be great on furniture. They are always going on special offer and I think I ended up paying about £120 for mine:)
