If you spend £5 to get 500 loyalty points then you have in some respects swapped £5 cash for £5 credit at the shop. However, cash is obviously more useful than credit, there are even restrictions what the credit can be spent on (e.g. not on prescriptions) although it's good for most things that the shop sells but beware you won't earn additional loyalty points when redeeming your credit and many things at the shop are more expensive than their competitors so really 500 points aren't quite as 'valuable' as they might seem!0 -
