Quoting as I too would like to know this. Not really a frequent shopper so am a bit unaware of the system. :o

    Cheers :)

If you spend £5 to get 500 loyalty points then you have in some respects swapped £5 cash for £5 credit at the shop. However, cash is obviously more useful than credit, there are even restrictions what the credit can be spent on (e.g. not on prescriptions) although it's good for most things that the shop sells but beware you won't earn additional loyalty points when redeeming your credit and many things at the shop are more expensive than their competitors so really 500 points aren't quite as 'valuable' as they might seem!

In theory it is 'free' as you get a fivers worth of points to spend 1 point = 1 p so you could buy one perfume for a fiver and then another using the 500 points - someone posted they did this earlier today edit to add they only paid 3 pound odd for their first perfume too !

    Oooo. Very interesting. Thank you.

So can you use your points straight away afterwards to buy another one and if you use your points to pay for transaction no 2 perfume, does it award yet another 500 points to repeat the process?

    Cheers :)
