Afternoon. thanks Blondynurse for the new thread :T

It's gorgeous here, had the paddling pool out and my 3 yr old running around the garden in his trunks squealing with delight.

A big change to my weekend plans - mum and dad decided not to come and visit last minute this morning, thought I could do "without being foisted on" - despite my insistence of having them visit to help with DS and help do last minute nursery jobs, washing baby clothes etc. So the upshot is i've still been left with childcare and the jobs to do and no help at all... just a few tears this morning. Why does my mum assume my feelings/thoughts and try to do what's best - but actually ignoring what I tell her?? Grr. Anyway, rant over, sorry :o It'a hardly a problem is it?!! :rotfl:

Off to catch up from the beginning

Afternoon everyone . Thanks for the new thread bloodynurse. I have no time to catch up on everything and do my usual posts as I'm in Frankfurt airport on free WiFi on my way to Hongkong.

Hope everyone has a great week with lots of glitches. See you all next Monday. ( may get on at night in hotel WiFi as I'm working all week. Wish out was a jolly.

    Happy new thread. :-)

P.S. half the airport is reading fifty shades. Women next to me has just stated fifty shades freed :-)

hes 20 months, hes still in nappies because he still cant talk so think will be to hard to potty train at moment,

with nappy on though he only does very small wee's in the day like drips then at night time its like the flood gates open. last night it was so bad this morning when iw ent to get him his mattress was soaked through even though he has protector on and all his hair was wet and the room absolutely stank made me heave when i went in there just hit the back of my throat as soon as i opened the door, but he doesnt wake up when its happened. Lucky i hadnt got rid of his cot mattress yet or i'd have nothing for him for tonight. I feel like i'm doing something wrong i just don't know what. He's got such a big sore all around his privates too now but he just doesnt care. :(

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, don't be too hard on yourself. Maybe it would be an idea to talk to a health visitor or take him to the Dr, especially if he got a sore, might be a reason for him not going in the day if it's maybe it's hurting when he does go, whereas at night when he's asleep he doesn't notice it.
But I would def let him run free during the day with no nappy on, will help his skin as well if it's sore. If you've got a potty just leave it sitting there as well, but don't worry too much about him using it, but it'll get him used to it being there for when you do potty train.

The McVities ginger cake may be a glitch for anyone wanting an APG or BM. It was definitely 2 for £2 or 1 for £1.30, yet it is showing as 2 for £1.30 here.

The ginger cake is BOGOF in stores for me, has been since last week iirc :) Might be another Scottish price though!
