Sainsburys loan accepted with default?

Hi i was just wondering if any users have ever been accepted for a sainburys loan with a default on there credit history?

I am after a loan but i have a 5 and a half year old default on file for a credit card for £400 but all accounts since then are fine never missed a payment.
I have 2x repair credit cards £600 limit 1x normal with £2400 limit
2x o2 phones, virgin and next account with lloyds current account.

Im just wondering what my chances of a £7-10000 loan is? I will consolidate with that.
Thanks in advance

Whats your salary ? Is it still the same as it was back in april @ 24-25k

Hang on, after reading the thread from april it seems you were given some advice, so did you act on any of it.
  • Well ive just got promotion to 26k but that wont reflect in my wages untill end of next month and the default disapeers middle of sept, just i could really do with the extra cash this month. Dont know weather to go for it or not now?

    Why the hurry?
  • Bad month car and bike need taxing and the car failed mot on a lot possibly not worth the repair baby due in 4 weeks would make life so much easier if it was this month rather than next.

Pretty sure sainsburys do take applicants with a history of not paying back what they borrow but don't quote me on that as I might be wrong.

A baby is going to decimate your financial incoming/outgoing ratio, trust me!
  • Yeh ive searched online and all the people who asked similar questions never came back with there results. I will challenge lloyds with the cpd marker once the default disapeers see if i have any luck there.
  • I know would have just been nice to have a little flexibilty sooner rather later we are both working so can afford the loan repayments but i will be applying alone as the mrs has a bad mobile contract 4 years in default but settled so i think our chances are higher with just me applying or am i wrong?

If Lloyds has slapped a CPD marker on your file now is the best time to close it down as once these are stamped beside your internal rating its apparantly near impossible to get them removed.

Get shot of them if they don't trust you with credit facilities go to a bank that do.
  • Yeh its been on there since the day i got it as i applyed not long after i got the c/card default. What bank is more helpfull with credit?
