ssp

hi, i worked for an agency in January and injured myself at work, i have since been taken on permanently by the firm i was temping at.WHEN I LEFT THE AGENCY IN mARCH(OOPS) i was still not in receipt of any ssp despite giving a self cert form and a doctors note at the correct time.I also discovered i was entitled to holiday pay from the agency. After several months of letters and phone calls to the agency and their assurance they would sort it out i have only just recieved holiday pay(dont know if this was correct because the wageslip just said holiday pay £200), but they have now said that they have lost my sick note and will pay me 15 hrs at my normal rate(£6.08).I left work early on friday because of injury and had 2 weeks off.(mon-fri).Does anyone know how much ssp i should be getting?
Hope this makes sense
Thanks

Assuming that your qualifying days were Monday to Friday and that you did not have a linking PIW in the eight weeks before this sickness and that you qualified under any other SSP rule then you would have been entitled to 7 days SSP which at £81.60 a week would be £114.24.

SSP is not paid for the first 3 days ('waiting days') so I think you were only due to be paid SSP for 7 days.

I think you're about £25 down on that calculation: the rates for 2011-12 are here. Ask for 20 hours and show your workings ...
