Hello All,
Just looking for advice on where to go to purchase cheap garden items, like a Garden Bench, small garden table (wood or metal), pub style bench, etc.
Thank you.

I bought a car at Wilson's Auctions at Mallusk last year and the next day they were holding a huge auction with this sort of thing. Apparently they hold them quite often. Thay have a website: http://www.wilsonsauctions.com/mallusk.asp
The other approach is to wait for end of season sales- I got mine last year in B&Q for a real bargain but it was August by then, so no use if you want the furniture for this summer.

This is the worst time to buy form the big stores. We bought over the May bank holiday weekend at Homebase and by the end of the month more money had been knocked off the price. I reckon they have the top prices over the Easter break, then it comes down. If you can wait you'll do well. You could try bargaining knowing that they're selling at a premium now - the premium is 100% now I reckon.Stercus accidit0

If you have or know anyone with a Makro card they've got some really good deals on garden furniture this week.......will try to update my post with prices later on this evening once I'm out of work.Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

I got a round wooden table, 4 chairs and umbrella for 129 quid plus VAT. Not a bad offer from Makro. They also are doing garden benches for 30 quid plus VAT. They are quite nice with wrought iron decoration on them.oooooooh i luv a bargain0

If anyone knows where I could get my hands on a 'glider bench' I'd appreciate it.
It basically looks like a normal wooden bench but has a gliding action and is handier than a swing seat as it doesn't take up the same space. They had them in B&Q last year, but haven't got them back in and I've only seen them online in GB shops so far.0
