Euromillions winners

Well fair play to the couple from Ballymena on their win with Euromillions! Oh to be them today!! Imagine having that amount of cash and never having to worry about bills again. I think if it happened to me I'd either die from the shock or be killed in some freak accident so I'd never get a chance to enjoy it!

  • Its quite frightening really if you think about it.
Dont think I would have gone public though to be honest?
    Good Luck to them both.

I wouldn't have gone public either, but just think of all the charities you could help out, start your own company. Because to be honest, you can only live in one house, drive one car. But I wish them well in all they do, as they look and sound like a nice couple.....
  • yip, definitely wouldn't have gone public - can you imagine the begging letters they are bound to receive now from every tom, !!!!!! and harry looking for a hand-out?

With 2 mil. it's IMO not too bad. It's a lot of Money but not necessarily a danger to your life.

But what the hell was the couple thinking that won the £148 mil.? Why would you ever go public with such an amount of money? Idiotic, IMO. I am pretty sure they were pressured by National Lottery, but they should IMO have the nest interest of the winners at heart. And going public after such a huge win def. isn't in the best interest of anyone, except for the papers.

I've heard that Camelot encourage people to go public, saying it's less stressfull. I'd defintely stay anonymous.
Yes, people would realise I'd won the lottery or come into money somehow but they wouldn't need to know how much and a large amount would go to various charities and the local primary school.

I think with the whole publicity thing is , if you go public they can help protect you and advise you on security and how to deal with the publicity etc etc. However if you decide not to go public then your name is kept secret from everyone at camelot and if people start to fnd out who you are then your on your own with not a peep from camelot.
